History
I started practicing law over 15 years ago with the words of my late grandfather still ringing in my ear - in anything you do, treat people well enough and they will come back. He owned a car dealership for many years, but he didn't simply sell his customers cars. Instead, he listened to them. Their wants, their needs, and their budget. He built relationships. Only once he fully understood what his customers needed did he search for and find the right car for them.
My grandfather tried to provide such a good experience, his customers would come back again and again. In fact, his idea of success was a customer who purchased seven cars from him throughout their lifetime and referred family and friends. When he passed away, though he had sold his dealership more than 20 years earlier, my family heard from loyal customers who had proudly bought from Daniel Motor Company because of its excellent service and remembered him fondly.
While lawyers and car dealerships are certainly different entities, and I hope you don't need my services seven times in your life, the importance of building relationships and providing top-notch customer service is easily translatable.
When you work with Ellen Williamson Law, you can expect straightforward communication, education, and a relationship built on trust.

Ellen Williamson
I began practicing law in 2004. In 2013, wanting a client-centered practice modeled around my grandfather's philosophy of service, I founded Ellen Williamson Law, PC, and began helping others with estate planning, probate, and guardianship matters.
Being a member of organizations such as the Dallas Bar Association’s Probate Trust & Estates Section and the Texas Bar College keeps me up to date on changes to the law, while serving as the Vice-Chancellor of the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas, member of the Dallas Bar Association Estates Manual Committee, and other volunteer activities allow me a chance to give back to both the legal community and the community at large.
Recently, I’ve become a member of the inaugural class of the Dallas Probate American Inn of Court, an association of probate attorneys and judges dedicated to professional excellence, mentoring, continued learning, and service.
Outside of the office, I enjoy pushing myself as an Ironman triathlete, runner, and cyclist. I also love travel, cooking, volunteering with our church and children’s school, and following Texas Aggie sports.
